About the Event
Lots of teens are already familiar with acting on stage but on screen is a big difference! Chantal Perron**, will take you through the technical world of on-camera acting. We will focus on script interpretation, camera technique and making strong choices. In addition, Elise Graham** will educate participants on the world of television production including what to expect when you show up to a set.
Chantal will walk through the dos and don’ts of the audition room, covering everything from what to wear, how to sign in, and how to behave with your reader. Then what happens when you book the role? Elise presents What To Expect On Set, complete with slideshow and example call sheets and maps.
The last hour of class, we will be talking about agents, unions and generally how to break into the industry. We will go over the process of how to find and secure an agent and the benefits of joining ACTRA. Parents are encouraged to arrive at 4:00pm and sit in on this presentation so we can answer any questions you may have!
