Feature Film Program
The Feature Film Program is open to girls and non-binary participants between the ages of 14-19.
This program is divided into three modules:
MODULE 1 - January 7 to April 29, 2020
Participants will learn basic filmmaking instruction and shoot two short films as a team.
Program runs one evening a week, Tuesday or Wednesday, 5:30pm to 9:00pm.
MODULE 2 – May 9 to June 20, 2020
Preparation of the feature film begins.
Program runs Saturdays 10:00am to 4:00pm.
MODULE 3 - June 29 to July 31, 2020
Production of the full length feature film.
Program runs Monday to Friday with full days spent on set.
The curriculum covers the finer points of what it takes to develop a film from concept to script to production and post production. Participants will have the opportunity to shoot two short films after which they will specialize their learning into a particular role on the set. Building on what they learned from making the short films, participants then begin preparing for the film shoot with the help of professional mentors who head up each department and guide participants through the whole experience. In the end, every participant gets a credit on a real feature film and invaluable experience they can proudly brag about.
$800 for the entire program, payable in three installments
$500 for first module only (January to April) - participants may choose to continue the program in April for an additional $400 registration fee.
